Shipping policy

Shipping, Freight, and Carrier Responsibility

  • Shipping times are estimates and vary by item and carrier.
  • Some deliveries may require scheduling and access coordination.
  • Unless otherwise stated at checkout, Distinctive Interiors will select the carrier and shipping route at our discretion to provide the best available delivery method for your order.

Once your order is tendered to the carrier, delivery timing is controlled by the transportation company. We are not responsible for delays caused by the carrier, weather, scheduling issues, or access limitations at the delivery location.

Shipping Rates and Oversize Items

Our flat shipping rate covers standard shipping for most orders. Some items may require additional shipping charges due to size, weight, packaging requirements, or delivery location. If additional shipping is required, we will contact you with the updated shipping total for approval before shipping. If you do not approve the additional shipping charge, you may request to cancel the order prior to shipment.

Inspecting Your Delivery

Please inspect your shipment immediately upon delivery.

• If you see visible damage to packaging or product: note all damage on the delivery receipt/Bill of Lading before signing and take photos.

• If you sign without noting damage, the carrier may deny the claim and we may be unable to assist.

Return Authorization Required

Unauthorized returns will be refused. Because all sales are final, returns are only considered if we provide written approval as part of an approved damage/defect/incorrect-item claim.

Fees Outside Our Control

We are not responsible for third-party fees such as demurrage, detention, storage, per diem, re-delivery, diversion, or missed appointment fees charged by carriers or warehouses. Customers are responsible for scheduling delivery within the carrier’s allowed timeframe.

Accurate Information

We make every effort to provide accurate product and shipping information. Customers are responsible for ensuring delivery access (doorways, stairs, elevators, and scheduled availability) and receiving the shipment within the carrier’s allotted time.
